Built in 1820 while the Linen Industry was at its height, this is a lovely family home owned since 1985 by John and Sara McCorkell. Clanmurry is a traditional Georgian house, situated with excellent access to the A1 road, conveniently close to Belfast and not far from the border.

The house is extremely comfortable and the extensive gardens are also pleasant to relax in. A special feature is the many interesting ship paintings - a legacy from another era when the McCorkell family owned a passenger shipping line. These ships took thousands of emigrants across the Atlantic to a new life in America and Canada in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.

Clanmurry is 20 miles from Belfast and can be reached in less than 30 minutes. Both Belfast Airports are 40 minutes and Dublin Airport is 1 hour 30 minutes away. Hillsborough is 4 miles to the north, and the National Trust properties, Linen Homelands and Golf Courses are within easy driving distance.
